Pretty nice looking restaurant in the Sihlcity shopping center. It offers pasta & pizza with an interesting concept: you get a debit card when you enter the place and whatever you get will be added to the card and you will pay at the counter that is located at the exit. You choose your food, you get a pager that will inform you when it is ready and you can take a place. Or you can stay there and look how they prepare it. Afterwards you bring it to your place... a kind of self service with the difference that the food is not already there waiting for you but it is prepared on a need basis, like in a normal restaurant. The choice of the pizza is limited, there are about 10 pizza on the menu and the price is interesting. Not really low if we take into consideration that they spare on waiters but for 15.50 you get a Prosciutto e Funghi and 17.50 a Capricciosa. As I said the food is fresh and prepared right in front of you by the two "pizzaioli", it is cooked in one of those professional electric pizza oven that so many take away pizzeria use today. My pizza was quite large and crispy on the outside, a bit soft toward the middle. The taste was good and the toppings of good quality. Simple tip: avoid the Toscana, the friend that was with me got it and it was soaked in "fresh tomato"... it almost looked like a giant bruschetta. All in all an interesting discovery. Maybe not the place to go if you are not already shopping in Sihlcity (there are better Pizzeria in the area, like Verona). But if you are already there, why not? |
